Manitu is a brand new concept for home telemedical non stress cardiotocography. Designed to check the baby’s health during a risk pregnancy at home, every time it’s needed, comfortably, confidentially.
Two very light wireless devices (easy to attach upon the belly) record heartbeats and active fetal movements and the Manitu app downloaded in the mother’s phone forwards the real time data to the hospital for the MD attention.
A text message advices mom when it’s time to switch it on and off (following to the MD’s previous scheduling) and when a recharge is needed as well.
While Minitu is operating mom could follow her baby’s progress straight over the phone.
Manitu design develops the instinctual maternal gesture in pregnancy. It reminds of closed hands taking care, protecting, listening and sustaining. Two gentle supports placed where a mother is naturally used to lie her hands on. They’re both covered by velvet touch silicone. Smooth and uniform, molded to be pleasant and even relaxing to finger.
Nice to the touch, wireless and tiny, Manitu is meant to be comfortable and comforting. It’s meant to help, to relieve mom of that very human anxiety which is clearly natural but also dramatically dangerous in case of risk pregnancies. It does using telemedicine, giving mom all the guarantees for a constant support, making her convinced that her baby is perfectly nursed, monitored and protected. Everytime, everywhere she is.
